~Zoo Trip~

Our school took a field trip, last week, to the zoo and we had so much fun. The kids really enjoyed it and it was a beautiful day to be outdoors.

Here are a few pics from the day. This is where all the birds were and they had their own little lake and several waterfalls.

Each animal area had a theme and entrance sign for their original habitat. Guess what was in Australia?

This was the largest sundial I've ever seen.

This is the black bear that lives here in the Ozarks. He was so cute but needed a good brushing. LOL :)
I don't remember what type of bird this was. They had a lot of birds.
We had a picnic lunch afterwards and then headed back to school. I hadn't been to the zoo in years and I really enjoyed it. Especially seeing it through the eyes of the first graders. :)

~Tea Room Visit~

Happy Easter to ya'll!!!

I know that many of you are spending time with family today and celebrating the Resurrection Day. So I wanted to share the pics from my celebration that me and my sweet Mama had on Good Friday. It wasn't any traditional food or anything like that. We just enjoy going to Tea Rooms and decided to try a new one out while we were enjoying our holiday.

This one is owned by a sweet Christian lady whose husband is a bee keeper. They have many honey products of course, and the honey was delicious tasting too.

Here is the entrance. It's called, "The Vineyard Tea Room." And the store is called, "Honey Heaven."

This mural was by our table and I thought it was so pretty. I just wanted to walk into the garden in the wall. :)
We ordered the quiche and salad. Sorry, I already took a bite before taking the pic. I was really hungry. :)
The orange spice tea was so smooth and tasty. They also bring you honey mustard covered chips to snack on.
I thought this tea board was really cute.

Have a Happy Easter Sunday!!!

~Shopping Day~

Today was a shopping day with the girls. Me, my Mama and my Daughters went shopping at one of our favorite shops....Rosewood Farms. The owners are the sweetest people. It's always fun to go to there. They make their own chocolates and they are delicious. I also got a Carmel Frappuccino to drink. Here are a few things that I bought today.

They make their own candles and wax melts too. I got the scent that smells like Rosewood's kitchen. It has a cinnamon scent, which is my favorite.

I'm always burning candles or melting the wax melts when I'm at home. I love the scent flowing throughout my home. I makes me feel warm and cozy. Everyone always comments about how good my home smells. So, when I go to Rosewood Farms I like to get a good supply that will last me until my next trip over there. :)
Hope ya'll had as good of a day as we did or even better. ;)

Hugs & Blessings,

~Remembering Spring~

I was going through some old pics today and found this little video of one of our trips to Silver Dollar City last year. The waterfall was so peaceful that I could have sat and watched it for hours. This is for everyone who is a little tired of the cold weather and wants to jump ahead to spring. :)

***Reminder that today is the last day to enter the "Friday Giveaway." I will be posting the winners tomorrow. All who enter will receive a free gift. :)

Hugs & Blessings,

Silver Dollar City Trip 2

I found some more pics from our last trip to Silver Dollar City.
This is Jim and I sitting in the BIG rocking chair.
He says he is going to build one for me.
But I haven't seen any plans yet. LOL ;)
(He has a serious look on his face because he is checking out the detail so
he can build one for me. His brain wheels were spinning. LOL)
John and Shanna had to try it out too.

I don't know why this pic turned out so small.
It is John and Shanna in the block.
Jim is pretending to feed Shanna.

Rockbridge Mill

We recently took a daytrip down to a little town called Rockbridge.

It was a small town established around the late 1800's and my

Great Grandfather was a Blacksmith there.

It has a wonderful restaurant there!

View from the steps up to the restaurant.

The springfed creek that runs along where the mill is.

Back of the mill.

The water smells so fresh and is very clear.
It is relaxing to listen to it run over the wall.

This is the tree that my husband (Jim) carved our initials on over 20 years ago.

This is the tree now.

Silver Dollar City Trip

We recently took a trip to Silver Dollar City in Branson, Missouri.
It is a wonderful place to take your family and have lots of fun!!!
These are some pics of some of their fall decorations.

We just had to ride the teacup. LOL

I got to play like I was an 1872 Teacher.
These are beautiful handstiched quilts from local quilters.

Such pretty window box flowers!

The entryway to the "Sweets" shop. We had cinnamon rolls and hot cocoa.

Ever seen a pumpkin tree?
